Position Summary

The Engineering Technician I supports daily production line operations by executing basic technical tasks, data collection, and equipment support activities. This role focuses on learning systems, standard work, and foundational troubleshooting under the guidance of a Manufacturing Engineer.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with line Start-up, changeovers, and shutdown activities

• Perform basic troubleshooting of mechanical and process issues using standard work

• Collect and record process data (throughput, downtime, yield, scrap)

• Support preventive maintenance (PM) execution alongside Maintenance

• Execute sanitation readiness checks (pre/post washdown equipment verification)

• Assist with root cause investigations by gathering data and observations

• Maintain line documentation and visual controls

• Identify, address, and escalate abnormalities (Safety, Quality, Equipment Performance)

Required Skills and Qualifications

• High school diploma or technical certificate

• Basic mechanical aptitude

• Familiarity with hand tools and basic instrumentation

• Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Computer literacy

• Ability to read SOPs and follow structured processes

Preferred Skills

• Exposure to food manufacturing or CPG environments
