Location: Built Brands Corporate Office - American Fork, Utah
Shift: Hybrid with 3 days in the office

Role Overview
Built Brands is seeking a Manager of Consumer & Category Insights to support our continued retail growth. This role is primarily sales-facing, partnering closely with Sales and Category Management to deliver category storytelling, commercial insights, and customer-ready analytics, while also supporting Marketing with consumer and category insights.
Key Responsibilities
· Serve as a strategic insights partner to Sales, supporting sell-in, line reviews, and customer strategy.
· Lead analysis of syndicated data (Circana, SPINS, NIQ, Numerator) to identify category trends, competitive dynamics, velocities, and whitespace opportunities.
· Own category performance analysis across distribution, pricing, promotion, assortment, and shelf effectiveness.
· Develop executive-ready dashboards, scorecards, and recurring reporting to track KPIs and business performance.
· Deliver customer-facing insights that support sales presentations and retailer conversations.
· Partner with Marketing to translate consumer and category insights into brand strategy, innovation direction, and activation.
· Identify emerging consumer trends, unmet needs, and demand signals to support innovation and renovation efforts.
· Present insights and recommendations clearly and confidently to internal leadership and cross-functional partners.
· Continuously improve reporting processes, data quality, and analytical methodologies and to utilize various AI technolgies to increase efficiencies.
Qualifications
· 5–6 years of experience in CPG analytics, category insights, or consumer insights roles.
· Strong hands-on experience with syndicated data platforms such as Circana, SPINS, NIQ, and Numerator.
· Experience working with retailer data platforms and maximizing the value of a variety of data sources.
· Solid understanding of category management principles and retail analytics.
· Experience analyzing omni-channel and eCommerce performance metrics.
· Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with BI tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
· Ability to translate complex data into clear, compelling, and actionable insights.
· Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to influence stakeholders.
· Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, Statistics, or a related field required. Master’s degree a plus.
