Job Title: Lead Quality Assurance Inspector -
Shift: Day (flexible)
Location: American Fork, Utah (Only local candidates will be considered)
Reports to: Assistant Quality Manager
Pay: Starts at $26/hr.

Key Responsibilities:

-Lead, manage, and train a team of QA Inspectors

-Conduct routine inspections and testing of products

-Audit processes in real time to ensure SOPs are followed

-Lead investigation and resolution efforts for quality or food safety concerns on the production floor

-Proactively identify and implement improvements in quality and food safety as well as other areas of the business where appropriate

-Ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and other company policies

-Train and provide feedback to other team members

-Support and lead internal audits

-Monitor critical control points in our processes to maintain standards of quality and safety

-Collaborate with production, maintenance, and warehouse teams to troubleshoot and resolve concerns that may arise

-Communicate with leadership efforts to identify root cause and resolution efforts of any quality or food safety concern

-Lead by example in promoting a culture of quality, continuous improvement, and food safety

-Cover responsibilities for other team members when they are absent

Qualifications:

-Minimum of 3-5 years in a quality assurance role, preferably in food manufacturing

-Bachelor’s degree in biology, chemistry, food science, or related field preferred  

-Familiarity with food safety programs like HACCP, SQF, and FSMA, and any certifications in these areas are encouraged

-Proficiency in computer use as well as data collection, analysis, and reporting

-Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a manufacturing environment

-Strong attention to detail and commitment to upholding quality standards
