Job Title: Regulatory Specialist – Food Industry

Location: Provo, Utah

Job Summary:
The Regulatory Specialist ensures that all company food products meet applicable federal, state, and international food safety and labeling regulations. This role manages regulatory submissions, maintains compliance documentation, and partners with cross-functional teams to ensure products are developed, labeled, and marketed in full compliance with industry standards and laws. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, and has a strong understanding of FDA and USDA regulations for food manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare, review, and maintain regulatory documentation for food products, including ingredient statements, nutritional panels, and allergen declarations.
• Ensure compliance with FDA, USDA, FSMA, and other relevant food safety and labeling regulations.
• Monitor regulatory changes and communicate updates to internal teams.
• Support the development and review of product labels, packaging, and marketing materials for accuracy and compliance.
• Collaborate with Quality Assurance and R&D on product formulation changes to ensure continued compliance.
• Maintain regulatory records, specifications, and certifications (e.g., organic, kosher, non-GMO).
• Support internal and external audits, inspections, and customer compliance requests.
• Provide regulatory guidance and training to cross-functional teams.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Regulatory Affairs, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 2+ years of regulatory experience in the food manufacturing industry.
• Strong knowledge of FDA and USDA food regulations, FSMA, and GFSI schemes.
• Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and communication abilities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with regulatory databases or labeling software a plus.
