Retail Shipping Manager

Job Description:

The Retail Shipping Manager oversees the processing of all retail orders to ensure

customers receive their orders on time, complete, and accurately communicated. This

role identifies cost-effective shipping solutions and continuously seeks opportunities to

reduce shipping expenses while maintaining high service standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Receive and prioritize retail purchase orders based on shipping dates.

• Confirm inventory availability and coordinate with the team to pick, prep, and stage

orders.

• Evaluate and select the most cost-effective carrier and shipping method.

• Communicate with retail customer service representatives and customers

regarding order status, questions, or concerns.

• Prepare all necessary shipping documentation and ensure accurate entry in the

inventory management system.

• Schedule carrier pickups and coordinate with shipping/receiving clerks to ensure

smooth order fulfillment.

Additional Responsibilities:

• Manage and execute special shipping requests from multiple business areas,

ensuring timely and accurate completion.

• Continuously review processes to identify efficiencies and cost-saving

opportunities.
