Job Summary:

Join our growing and exciting company! Built Brands is seeking a detailed, self-motivated team player to join the accounting department as Cost Accounting Manager. In this position, you will oversee all cost accounting functional responsibilities, advising on inventory management issues and providing analytical support.

In this position, you will plan, study, and collect data related to the cost of product such as labor, overhead and materials, and oversee the calculation of inventory reserves. Advanced knowledge of cost accounting concepts is required for this position. Developing and maintaining processes to track inventory costing by product line and facility will be a key initiative for this position Your ability to work under pressure, meet aggressive deadlines, and make sound business decisions through analytical thinking will be integral to your success. · Key Responsibilities: Design, implement and enhance cost accounting system and approach. Develop cost standards for material, labor and overhead.

· Reconcile subsidiary records to the general ledger (on hand/in transit) and provide subledger detail analysis on a monthly basis

· Develop, maintain, and test policies and procedures on the inventory and costing cycle

· Provide support for Build Brand’s markets on inventory management issues (physical counts, cycle counts, inventory movements/errors, batch management, etc.)

· Perform monthly analysis on cost of goods sold and effectively communicate changes and variances that have occurred during the month, with recommendations for improvement.

· Mentor junior accountants in a supporting, advisory and problem-solving mode, and participate in cross-training activities with staff accountants and other team members

· Provide support, as necessary, to external auditors, to ensure successful annual financial audits; support may include, but not limited to, the collection of additional documentation, creating of ad-hoc reporting and general inquiries related to inventory and costing

Qualifications/Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities Requirements

· Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or similar required

· Basic understanding of MRP/MPS required

· CPA, CMA, APICS certification(s) highly preferred

· 5-10 years of experience as a cost accountant in a manufacturing environment including experience using a standard cost system or other relevant experience. Food manufacturing business experience preferred.

· Strong costing background, excellent analytical skills and a strong understanding of accounting principles, including current knowledge of US GAAP

· Strong communication, interpersonal, analytical and technology skills.

· Working knowledge of computer and associated programs including large inventory tracking system (NetSuite, etc.), Microsoft Office (e.g. Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
