Position Overview
The Sales Operations Manager will serve as a central hub between our sales, operations, and finance teams, ensuring flawless execution of retail and distributor orders, data accuracy, and customer compliance. This role will oversee order processing, maintain pricing and promotional data, and support the sales team with administrative, reporting, and event coordination needs. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, and skilled in managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Order & Data Management
- Process and manage purchase orders across major retail and distributor portals (SPS, EDI, etc.)
- Monitor order accuracy, fulfillment, and shipping timelines in coordination with operations
- Maintain accurate pricing, promotion, and deduction records
- Partner with Accounts Receivable on rebate submissions and deduction reconciliation
Sales Team Support
- Track compliance with retailer scorecards and KPIs
- Manage retail customer onboarding and agreements (including W-9s)
- Coordinate sample requests, sales presentations, and retailer portal navigation
- Track and submit promotional contracts and deal sheets
- Prepare new item forms, sell sheets, and compliance documents
- Organize sales meetings, trade shows, and retailer-specific events
- Manage data in PromoMash and ensure timely updates from sales team members
- Communicate inventory risk alerts to customers
- Maintain up-to-date online content, sales folders, internal databases, and digital platforms
- Retailer & Broker Communication
- Maintain accurate broker contact and performance information
- Liaise with brokers, buyers, and distributors to troubleshoot item setup, sales data errors, and invoice discrepancies
- Resolve deduction disputes and maintain accurate scorecards
- Track trade spend effectiveness and broker performance metrics
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business, Sales, Marketing, or related field preferred
- 3+ years of experience in sales operations, customer service, or account management—preferably in CPG or retail
- Proficiency with EDI, SPS Commerce, and retail portal systems
- Strong data management and Excel/Google Sheets skills
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work cross-functionally with internal teams and external partners
- Experience with PromoMash or similar trade promotion management tools is a plus
